DEVLOG #6: Update to V1.1.103b. Improvement Gameplay and Bug Fixes


Greetings, players! We're excited to bring you the latest update to Khodam: The Contract Demo with version V1.1.103b. This update includes several gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and performance tweaks designed to enhance your experience in the eerie world of Dara.

Gameplay Improvements

  • Cursor Movement Adjustments: We’ve optimized the cursor movement both in iBidjiePhone and the Pause Menu, resulting in a noticeable performance boost. Expect smoother interactions and a more seamless UI experience. ➡️ Performance++
  • Objective Position Update (S4): The objective marker has been updated in Scene 4 to improve gameplay clarity and flow. ➡️ Gameplay++
  • TV Interaction after Respawn (S2): In Scene 2, after respawning at the autosave point, the TV can now be interacted with, enriching the environment's immersion. ➡️ Gameplay++
  • Objective Time Clamp: Objectives are now clamped by time, making progression more intuitive and paced to create tension at key moments. ➡️ Gameplay++
  • Key Box Relocation: We’ve moved the key box to an outside location, adding a bit of exploration to reach this crucial object. ➡️ Gameplay++
  • Phone Apps Reduced: To streamline interactions, we’ve reduced the number of available apps on the in-game phone to three, making it more efficient and less cluttered. ➡️ Gameplay++
  • New SFX for Death: Experience a chilling new sound effect when you die in-game, heightening the atmosphere. ➡️ Gameplay++

Bug Fixes

  • Checkpoint Added (S1): A checkpoint has been added near the camera in Scene 1, helping with progression without having to restart from far away. ➡️ Fixed
  • Barrier Button Issue: The problem where the barrier got stuck after pressing the button in certain areas has now been resolved. ➡️ Fixed

Upcoming Features

  • Head Bob Effect: We've implemented a head bob effect for added immersion in the FPS view. This is a core feature and won’t have a setting to toggle off—it enhances the realism of walking through Dara's world.
  • Flashlight Position: We’ve received feedback and are working on adjusting the flashlight's position lower for a more natural feel. ➡️ Coming soon
  • Localization: We’re working hard on localization, so more players can experience the game in their native languages. ➡️ Coming soon
